While reading Chapter 1, I could observe the importance of the rhetorical situation of a composition which is the purpose of the text and the audience of the writing. These two factors are essential to create a good text because they serve as a basis to everything else. By considering the purpose of your work (why you are writing) and the audience (to whom you are writing), you adapt your text and develop it in a specific style (formal or informal), design (with illustration for younger audiece) and even the rhetorical appeals (to give credibility to older audience is harder than to younger one). All these details are important to reach your audience and accomplish the initial goals of the work. Thus, it is essential to take in consideration the rhetorical situation of your composition prior to developing it since the writing's purpose as well as the people that will read it influence in all the other factors of the work.
